Square Enix confirmed Wednesday that its newest remakes of the classic Dragon Quest franchise will be heading to North America. Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride, and Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie, previously unreleased in the US, originally on the Super Nintendo console will be ported to the DS.
The series’ younger sibling, Dragon Quest IV, has already been announced for the North American market and is slated for release on the DS console this September. The series official website is up, currently with very little information.
The trend of releasing beefed-up remakes of titles from older franchises is often welcomed with some titles that never reached North American audiences their first time around.
