Japanese software sales 3/15-3/21 (Famitsu)

Here are the top sellers in Japan this week.
RPGs bolded because well, that’s…just who we are, I guess.
1. Yakuza 4 (PS3)
2. Gundam Assault Survive (PSP)
3. Pokemon Ranger: Path of Light (DS)
4. Tomodachi Collection (DS)
5. New Super Mario Brothers (Wii)
6. Wii Fit Plus (Wii)
7. Shin Sangoku Musou Multiraid 2 (PSP)
8. Yuusha no Kuseni Namaikida 3D (Badman 3) (PSP)
9. Hakuoki DS (DS)
10. God Eater (PSP)

The new Pokemans is doing incredibly well, which should be no surprise. Dragon Quest IX has seen a resurgance since getting added to the Ultimate Hits line, which is nice, because only selling 50 bajillion is clearly not enough. This week however, it falls off the top 10. God Eater for PSP has been hanging in there since its February release, which is surprising.

But this is an interesting list for RPG fans, as there’s not a lot of RPG representation on the list.  Perhaps this could be attributed to the fact that there aren’t a whole lot of new RPGs that debuted in the last two weeks.  We’ll likely see more representation of the genre when the top 30 is announced.
