RPG Deals 3/28 – 4/3
By Russ | March 28, 2010 at 2:59 pm
This is pretty good week for deals. Between GameStop’s Game Days and some BOGO stuff, your wallet may be a little lighter than anticipated.
Best Buy is offering a ‘buy one get one 50% off’ on all DS games. As usual, the deal only applies to titles of equal or lesser value, but this deal definitely includes those newfangled Pokemon games, Infinite Space, Phantasy Star 0, and a slew of others RPGs. Last time I checked, Best Buy also had some decent DS clearance titles, such as Valkyrie Profile, Dragon Warrior V, and friggin’ Bangai-O.
Best Buy is also offering Aion on the PC for $30 with a free 30 day gift card. 4 Gig SD cards for the DSi are $15 this week as well.
Toys R Us is also doing a ‘buy one get one 50% off’ sale, this time on all Wii games less than $40.
Target is offering Mass Effect 2 for $40.
GameStop’s Game Days sales is going on. Not all of last week’s prices were correct. Below is an updated price list.
- Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 $15 (DS)
- Dissidia: Final Fantasy $20 (PSP)
- Phantasy Star Portable $20 (PSP)
- Sacred 2 $20 (360, PS3)
- Rune Factory $20 (Wii)
- Disgaea 3 $20 (PS3)
- Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection $17 (360) $15 (PS3)
- Fallout 3 $20 (360, PS3)(Non-GOTY edition)
- Persona 4 $25 (PS2)
- Diablo Battlechest $20 (PC)
- Warcraft III Battlechest $20 (PC)
- World of Warcraft Battlechest $20 (PC/Mac)
- World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade $20 (PC/Mac)
- World of Warcraft: Rise of the Lich King $30 (PC/Mac)
- Aion $30 (PC)
- Fallout Trilogy $10 (PC)
Just a note: the Fallout Trilogy does not have Fallout 3. Brotherhood of Steel is in there instead.
Amazon has White Knight Chronicles for $45. Last week’s PS3 Gold Box deal did have Star Ocean: The Last Hope International for $45. Not bad, but not the greatest deal. These types of events are certainly something to keep an eye on.
That’s all I have for this week. Until then, Happy Hunting.
Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Prices in each store may differ. You can try different stores to mitigate this, and always ask if a store has it before writing them off. You might be able to get a raincheck. A lot of these deals are in-store only, except where specified.
