RPG Deals 10/24 – 10/30
By Russ | October 24, 2010 at 6:54 pm
Fable III is out this week, and the usual companies are doing deals for it. But are these deals usual?
K-mart is offering a $20 store coupon with purchases of Fable III. Conveniently, several games are now $20 at K-mart. The list includes:
- Dragon Age: Origins (360, PS3)
- Dragon Age: Awakening (360, PS3)
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers (Wii)
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time (DS)
- Muramasa (Wii)
- Nier (360, PS3)
- Nostalgia (DS)
- White Knight Chronicles (PS3)
Nier at $20 so soon? That’s actually a fun game so far, if a little odd.
Best Buy is offering a buy ‘2 get 1 free deal’ only on newer releases. Fable III is part of that deal, along with Force Unleashed II, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and a few others. This is a very good deal if the new releases really appeal to you.
Amazon is offering a $20 credit with copies of Fable III as well.
Target is selling Dragon Quest IX for $30, and is including a $5 gift card with purchases of Fable III. Um, woot?
Certain Toys R Us store are offering 30% off clearance games. Titles are different from store to sore, but go over and take a look if you have the time.
I finally caught up with the news and saw that yet another Tales game, Tales of Graces F, is more than likely not seeing the light of day in the US. There’s a handy link to the left called the RPGLand Store which will take you to Play-Asia.com and the possibility of ordering the game for those interested. PS3s are region free, after all.
I’m moving the section of what I do down to the bottom because it interrupts the flow of the column. I did not partake of any deals last week. I tend to wait for 2K titles to come out with a GOTY edition like Fallout 3 and Borderlands. New Vegas gets the same treatment.
That’s all I got for this week. Happy Hunting.
Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Deals may stop and any time. Prices in each store may differ. You can try different stores to mitigate this, and always ask if a store has the item before leaving the store. You might be able to get a raincheck. Many deals are in-store only, except where specified.
