RPG Deals 11/14 – 11/20

By Russ | November 14, 2010 at 6:41 pm

Buy one game, get the second 40% off.  Also, what is up with Black Friday not being so much on a Friday?  Update: Atlus games are 50% off.

In an effort to your dollar, stores are attempting to establish the month of November as a deals month.  Sure; I’ll bite.  Heck, this week several stores are offering deals in anticipation of the previously Friday-only event.   Amazon is starting to run stuff daily on top of the daily deals.  Newegg has been doing a sale every Friday for the month of November.  Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for deals.

In an odd move, Toys R Us is opening at 10 PM on Thanksgiving to start selling Black Friday deals.  GameStop is opening at midnight for the same thing.  What a load of shit.  These stores need to give Thanksgiving – an actual national holiday – back to its employees.   Buy online this Christmas if possible.

THQ is doing something a little odd and very good.  The company is aiming to publish titles at the $40 price range, with a focus on releasing DLC later.  More than likely this means games will be released with parts intentionally cut out to be released later, but hey! Games really need to be cheaper.  Dead Rising: Case Zero has taught the XBLA community a cheap game will sell.

Toys R Us is having a ‘buy one get the second 40% off’ on all video games this week.  As usual, the second game must be of equal or lesser value.

Update:  Almost all Atlus games on the PSN are 50% off.  Knights in the Knightmare is not on sale, but buying the PSN copy still nets you a free copy of Yggdra Union; just like the retail version.

All this week on Amazon.com is offering copies of Burning Crusade with all copies of World of Warcraft sold.

Target is offering Final Fantasy XIV Online for $40 this week.

Play-Asia did sell out of last week’s Tales of Phantasia: Narakiri Dungeon deal, but the store still has Tales of Phantasia: Full Voice Edition on the PSP for $35.  Remember, buying stuff through RPG Land’s Play-Asia store helps us out.

Next week I will post the relevant deals for Black Friday/Cyber Monday.   Happy Hunting.

Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Deals may stop and any time.  Prices in each store may differ. You can try different stores to mitigate this, and always ask if a store has the item before leaving the store. You might be able to get a raincheck. Many deals are in-store only, except where specified.
