Shop Watch October 2015

Less a column and more an anthology of anthologies.
Speaking of missing games, there’s been a Fallout Anthology released for the PC and it comes in a nuke. Not an actual one (wait for the 2030 re-re-re-release), but a neat shelf piece which makes a bomb noise. Because Ska-doosh! and other fun onomatopoeia. The collection includes Fallouts 1 – 3, Tactics, and New Vegas. And all DLC, apparently.
Disgaea 5 sees a PS4 release on October 6. The numbers will be bigger! The plot will be a plot! and stuff! The Disgaea Triple Play Collection was also released, and it contains Disgaea 3, 4, and D2; because numbering and order are for dirty casuals.
Dragon Age: Inquisition Game of the Year Edition for PS4 and Xbone also hits this week. Make sure no one expects it, people.
The week of October 13 has some interesting titles. In the not-an-RPG-but-what-the-Hell vein, we have Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below. This PS4-only title places Dragon Quest characters in a Dynasty Warriors environment. I guess just as RPGs become distilled into other genres, Dynasty Warriors-style games will engulf everything. I, for one, welcome our new brawler overlords. But only if I can get a free copy of Arslan.
Also this week is Atlus’ The Legend of Legacy, a game with an art style similar to the DS Final Fantasy remakes and Bravely Default. Another anthology will be released this week, the Arland trilogy for the Atelier series of games. That’s three anthology titles this month. The Hell.
Tales of Zestiria will be released on October 20 for PS3 and PS4. PS3 users take note – there may not be a lot of copies available due to stores not wanting to carry PS3 titles when a PS4 equivalent is available. The collector’s edition is sold out, so if you come across it and want it; pick it up.
The last week in October will see the PS4 and Xbone release of Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition. What’s enhanced? Dunno. It’s got couch co-op thought so I am DTP.
..Down to Play, folks.
No advice beyond get your Zest-y fix for PS3 or the CE if you want it. The future has more games, because it’s the holiday season and your wallets are prey.
