Gift Certificates, Credit, and Monster Hunter Tri for $30 this week? Slower than last week’s offers, but not bad all the same. Update: Now with 1100% more Tales of Phantasia!
Toys R Us is offering two similar ‘bxgx’ sales. The first is buy a game priced $60 or more and get a $20 gift card. The second deal is buy 2 $60 games and get a $50 gift card. It’s a slightly different ‘b2g1 free’ deal that allows you to spend the credit on anything you like in the store.
Amazon.com is doing an all video game Gold Box event Tuesday, November 9. The store will have lightning deals all day long pertaining to video games. Some of the deals are decent, so take a look if you are curious.
Amazon also has 3D Dot Game Heroes and Tales of Vesperia for around $21, and Eternal Sonata on the PS3 for about $17.
Additionally, Amazon.com is still offering credit with the purchase of a select games. Fable III will net a $20 credit; while Arcania: Gothic 4, the regular edition of Fallout: New Vegas, and Final Fantasy XIV all earn a $10 credit. The credit is sent to you with 2 days of the game shipping.
GameStop is offering Monster Hunter Tri for $30 this week.
Xbox Live has a deal that may end today on several Dragon Age: Origins DLC. This deal is open to all members, Gold or Silver. Remember, the Dragon: Age Origins Ultimate Edition came out recently. That may still be the lesser expense if you have not bought the game yet.
Update: Play-Asia’s store has copies of Tales of Phantasia: Narakiri Dungeon X for the PSP for $44. Actually, there are only three copies left. If you’ve lamented the lack of Tales games in the US thus far, just give head over to Play-Asia from the RPG Land store link.
For Black Friday: It looks as if Sears may have Fable III for $40. Good luck if you go for it.
Yeah, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are around the corner. Thankfully, December has an extra paycheck coming.
Deals I Have Used: I did take advantage of Amazon’s ‘b2g1 free’ this past week to pick up some DS and PSP games I was interested in. Namely, Lufia and two others. I owned both Lufia games on the Super Nintendo and loved them. Trading those games was among the dumbest gaming things I have done, and the chief reason I think trading stuff in at GameStop is worthless.
… and I’m off my pedestal. Happy Hunting.
Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Deals may stop and any time. Prices in each store may differ. You can try different stores to mitigate this, and always ask if a store has the item before leaving the store. You might be able to get a raincheck. Many deals are in-store only, except where specified.
