Shop Watch August 2011

The end of August has two releases before September brings back the retail season.
Bastion was released on Xbox Live. It’s a cute action RPG where your actions are given a rather nifty narration.
Tiles shipping the week of August 21:
Lord of the Rings: the War in the North, published by Warner Bros. (360, PC, PS3). A side story to the events of the Lord of the Rings books, the War in the North looks to expand upon Tolkien’s universe in an action RPG setting. It’s safe to say a demo will sprout up within the next two weeks to try out.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, published by Atlus (3DS). A re-release of Devil Survivor with added features and 3D support. The 3DS drops in price the second week of August, so if you are looking for an RPG to go with your shiny new machine; here it is.
Some Advice: War in the North will dip in price very soon. Overclocked can go either way, but something ells me bargain bin.
The Future: Is getting brighter. Persona 2 and Solatorobo are hitting the handhelds the same time White Knight Chronicles II and Disgaea 4 warm the PS3. SkyRim will then own everything in November.
