Zenimax Media gobbles up another studio
By Michael | August 13, 2010 at 12:09 pm
Zenimax Media, parent company of Bethesda Softworks and more recently id Software, recently acquired another feather in their hat, Arkane Studios. Arkane studios is a smaller studio mostly known for developing Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Only time will tell what will come.

Fallout 3, now with aliens!
By Michael | July 16, 2009 at 9:47 am
Apparently Bethesda doesn’t believe believe a post-apocalyptic world is dangerous or varied enough. Recently released, Bethesda’s newest DLC for Fallout 3 is Mothership Zeta. An add-on in which Aliens have come to earth. This DLC takes the game in an entirely new realm, outer space, as players will go fight some aliens aboard a mothership in orbit around Earth. They will of course be armed with the requisite new armor, weapons, and quests. Fallout 3’s hero, obviously discovered this alien vessel while attempting to join in RPG Land’s Jog at the Moon 2009.

Western RPG classic Daggerfall becomes free download
By Heath | July 9, 2009 at 9:19 pm
After years of being pined after and re-re-rediscussed (in places including our own forums), Bethesda Softworks has made Daggerfall a free download. There are some disclaimers, however, including the fact that since the game is ass-old, there are no gaurantees it will work with a given machine and Besthesda can’t be providing tech support for a 13-year-old, now-free game. Download it and/or read up on how to (probably) make it work on your machine right here.
