By Michael | November 12, 2008 at 1:45 pm
After returning from his lifelong dream of visiting space, he did so in a trip to the International Space Station, Richard Garriott, the creator of the classic PC RPG series Ultima, and more recently NCSoft’s Sci-fi MMORPG Richard Garriott’s Tabula Rasa, is leaving NCSoft. Garriott said news of his departure is “difficult” to deliver.
Garriott left the atmosphere in the private Soyuz TMA-13 rocket, in October, following months of rigorous training. He was gone for ten days.

Devs, publishers can’t decide if spaces are good, conceive “Tacticslayer”
By Heath | November 6, 2008 at 11:20 am
It’s either called Tactics Layer or Tacticslayer. There’s not that little dot between the katakana’d words that signals a separation, nor is there a space in the logo. As much as I want to believe the campiness of Engrish titles hasn’t reached this level, it seems that it may have. Here are images of Tacticslayer, coming this winter to DS (in Japan).

Valkyria Chronicles DLC comes to non-Japanese markets
By Heath | November 5, 2008 at 8:00 am
Now confirmed by Sega of America, the downloadable content that has been previously reported on, including an update that lets players control the powerful enemy character Selvaria, will be coming to the American and PAL versions of Valkyria Chronicles. The company can not yet nail down exact launch times or prices for any of the updates, but it’s most likely that gamers will have to wait until at least January for them. Stepping into my own opinion and referencing my review, this game already has plenty to keep players busy until then.

Final Fantasy XIII characters given names (new scans)
By Heath | October 15, 2008 at 11:46 pm
The blonde dude from Final Fantasy XIII, in the first scan, is given the manly monikor of “Snow.” The main character of Final Fantasy Versus XIII’s name (pictured in the right scan, left side of the page) is Noctis Lucious Cheram, though due to the nature of katakana-to-English translation, it might not end up exactly like that in non-Japanese versions of the game. The lady’s name on the right is Stella Nox Fulure, and again, that’s subject to change.

Thanks, Gamekyo.
