Animal Crossing 3DS Killing it in Japanese Sales, Downloads Through the Roof

Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata took to Twitter to apologize for shortages (and stealthily announce the success) of the 3DS’s Animal Crossing: New Leaf in Japan. The first shipment of the game included a whopping 600,00 copies, yet all over Japan, the game has been sold out.

Man jailed for posting Pokemon online

Nintendo apparently didn’t want anyone to see certain Pocket Monsters before the Sept. 18 release of Pokemon Black/White, and a man who partially foiled this is now sitting in jail.

My Pokemans: let me region lock them

For many people, importing games to avoid waiting around for localization has become very popular these days — RPGs often some of the most imported titles out there. But in the case of Pokemon Black & White, gamers should be given a heads-up, as the title is region locked for the DSi. Those with classic-style DS systems and DS Lites can still play any region’s version of the game, but some DSi-enhanced titles hve been locked to DSi’s of their regions. New Pokemon games go monochromatic: Pokemon Black and White announced

The official Japanese Pokemon website revealed the two upcoming main-series Pokemon games today, to be titled “Pokemon Black” and “Pokemon White.”  The official website only has a teaser up right now, but since the games are slated for a Fall 2010 release, it’s only a matter of time before some new information pops up. One next-generation Pokemon and its evolution were revealed six weeks ago:  Zoroa and Zoroark.
