This made me very interested in playing the original Persona, though I'm very sure I wouldn't be able to complete it after reading the review. I can't stand too slow-moving of a battle system, and while other stuff sounded cool and somewhat rare, it didn't seem to make the rest of the game (lol token black guy) sound worth it. |

i honestly couldnt believe the token black guy. granted it wasnt as bad as it could have been, but just the fact they added him in, its offensive i think
the battle system is indeed slow, almost unbearable... though i say the same about Suikoden III-V and i still liked them
the original persona is a good game, and i think you'd like it heath, but gl finding it. i think its cheaper on ebay than it used to be, i had to get it for 70$ ... but my g/ma gave it to me for my bday or somesuch, so no biggy
i think its a respectable game, and like i said in the review- genre breaking- due to really bringing new conventions, but overall it was slow and generic after all _________________

I saw Persona at EB Games for $40 used, but wasn't entirely interested. Persona 2 was about $30. I checked eBay at that time (like winter) and it wasn't selling for any more than that, so I didn't bother. If I'd play, I'd statr with part 2, but with as much as I've got on my plate...I dunno, I think I'll just pass or save it for retirement. |

seriously, the dialogue in Revelations: Persona would piss you off
i'd say pass on it
P2 is good, but not better than some games i bet you have lined up, so yah i'd say pass for now _________________

Yeah I figure maybe some day way the hell in the future I'll get to it. Got that odd sense of nostalgia kicking around with PlayStation RPGs and such.
If it's not rare and incredibly expensive, maybe I'll do the same with Persona 3, 10 years from now. _________________ If you buy stuff from Play Asia, help support RPG Land. Thank you. |
