I personally find the water in my apartment delicious. It's ice cold straight from the faucet and has a real minerally taste to it that's probably rust or dirt, but whatever, it's cold and yummy. I do actually prefer most bottled waters (I swear to Christ Coke puts coke in Dasani), and I won't drink the tap water at the office, but 9 times out of 10 I'll drink from the tap.

In IL, we would get Chicago water and drinking that was like drinking orphan's tears. So good.

Out in Az, the tap water is probably 1 mineral away from being more toxic than a heroin junkie's band-aid.

Absolutely!
Except from Regina. I think the water there gives you cholera.

Houston tap water is pretty good. So good they bottle and sell the stuff (Aquafina get a ton of its water from the Houston Metro water supply.)

Oh man, the tap water in Phoenix wasn't even f---ing potable! So disgusting. I remember them saying something about adding fluoride to it or something? I can't remember but it was f---ing disgusting. I didn't even like cooking with it. Not that we did a whole lot of cooking living down the block from one of the best hole in the wall Mexican places I've ever tasted. One of you Phoenix assholes go to Berto's on Bethany Home and order a super nachos and a carne asada burrito and mail them to me.

Tap where I grew up was great: It was cold, and tasted of alkaline earth metals -- which our ground is full of out there. That, and rust. And maybe death, not sure about that though. Point is, it tasted great. Where I live now is not so shabby, and not too far removed from where I grew up.

At my university, however, the water f---ing sucks. Somehow, in upstate NY, where it gets really, truly cold, the water manages to come out lukewarm as often as not, and frequently goes brown for days at a time and you can't do laundry. I drink from the tap occasionally, but I bought a lover and use that, so I only drink from the tap when I manage to drain the entire lover in one shot. shit here's naaasty.

Still, I refuse to pay for bottled water. Why add expense so my water can taste like cheap plastic? Seriously, if you guys like the taste of bottled water so much, just by one bottle, and when you're done and you miss the taste, just lick the f---ing bottle.

I can drink the tap water out here and do so often but I really don't like it. The only way I can get it down is if I put a glass in the fridge for about a half hour and then throw ice into it once it comes out. Getting it so cold that it instantly freezes your taste buds seems to work. The most disgusting thing about th water out here is if you get a glass of tap water and let it sit for about an hour, you will see all of the crap that was floating in it resting at the bottom of the glass. Totally disgusting.

I wonder what effects how cold water is in a building. A friend of mine might as well not have a cold water handle cause it comes out warm as piss.

Actually, Flagstaff's water is pretty good.
Though, when I lived in Tucson the only way to make it bearable was to add ice and let it sit for a bit.

Filtered tap water. The water around here is pretty chittyshittybangbang, a statement made literal by Harrisburg's process of reusing sewer water. Any time the tap water is turned on hot, it smells like the topmost layer of a theme park's restroom.

Thankfully, the place I live is on a different water source.
