I heard you have to pay 5 bucks to play online if you get it used, haha. _________________ If you buy stuff from Play Asia, help support RPG Land. Thank you. |

You heard right. THQ and EA are going to start charging if you purchase a used game and want to play online.
It can only end poorly. _________________ "The teen passed out during the ceremony and the town decided to drown the cow." |

I didn't know THQ was doing it too. It's $10 for EA starting with this year's Tiger Woods.
I don't see the big deal personally. Used sports games are worthless anyways, so to have to pay an extra $5-10 in addition to the $5-10 you paid for the game itself doesn't seem like such a travesty.
There are two types of sports game players. Players that buy them day 1, every year, and those who wait for "last year's model" because they just wanna dick around with the sport and not get super serious about it. This doesn't really hurt either of those two groups. Sure it annoys both, by making the resale value of the day 1 gamer's copy lower, and by making the purchase price higher for the LYM player's copy. But neither scenario is deal breaking. I buy a ton of used games, but even I admit they hurt the industry.
The only problem is, once these sports games get a couple of years old they cut the multiplayer servers for them, leaving the game gimped anyways. So if you buy a copy of Madden 11 in 2015 for $2, pay $10 to play it online with a buddy, you run the risk of having the servers turned off a week later. Still this is all trivial shit. If you're so poor you have to be playing five year old sports titles, gaming might not be the hobby for you. _________________

Finally finished my first career mode run-through last night. It's a blastie going through and building friendships with camps and fighters. Learning new strikes, transitions, submissions from the various camps really builds up your ability to customize your fighter however you like. Now that I've learned most of the tricks, I'm going to go back and make a CAF that I'll really enjoy using. _________________ "The teen passed out during the ceremony and the town decided to drown the cow." |

How many onsight psychiatrist does UFC have to help the other fighter get over fear of Kimbo Slice? Since he arrived at ufc a lot of fighters have been suffering from anxiety and the inability to sleep. What treatment methods are they useing to help get them past fear of Kimbo?
