Now, I've had my share of roommate trouble, and here's my advice to you, coming from that angle:

Masturbate on his bed.

Wow, that is like the best idea ever. I've had some room mates that definately deserved the old "cum on the pillow" trick.

It sounds dirty when you say it.

I was thinking more along the lines of speaking with the dorm director. It's his job to masturbate when and wherever necessary.

Oh, yeah. If you're in a dorm, going to the RAs or whatever they're called where you is always a good start. But a lot of those folks are ineffective, so if (when) that fails, be ready to masturbate.

Or you can really overreact and jump off a bridge.

Then it'll seem like his harmless music playing was really auditory-bullying.

Bonus: You're picture will be all over the news!

The music I can ignore when I really need to. The real problem is when he turns the heat to 76 when it's 71 outside. Opening a window doesn't help when it's actually hot outside too.

My solution is turning the cold back on whenever the guy is out sight of the thermostat. It's worked so far today.

Just set the thermostat to 72 and break it.

Since when is 71 degrees outside considered hot? Are you a fur seal or something? Just go around opening all of the windows and tell him to fuck off. Berate him and dispense physical criticism* (ass kickings).

*physical criticism is a term coined by Idin. Just giving him props.

this is some serious bullshit, I get fallout at midnight and then I'm blocked from playing it until its midnight in California, Fuckers. So I wait till 2am because it wouldn't even let me install it till then, now I'm trying to install it and the shit game won't let me install from the disc, its forcing me to DOWNLOAD the 6+ gigs to first. I'm looking at the disk and the data is right there, who the hell thought this shit up?

That right there would make me murder something.

That'd be like picking up a game for a console and when you got home, Shane Carwin is standing at your door and will repeatedly punch you in the face if you try to get in and play the game before it's midnight in California.

My band's viola player is too busy and has to quit the band, which the other four of us knew. . . we thought.

When she first broke the news a month ago, we were worried because one among us is pretty sensitive and we didn't know how he'd take it. He was fine then. As it happens, that's because although he was there for the conversation he was totally zoned and missed the word "quit." He found out a second time today. . . damage control was all kinds of fun.

Are you in a chamber orchestra or something? Cause that would be pretty cool.

The f---?

Our band:
Me: Clarinet, guitar (no effects) vocals, bass, viola, toy instruments, drums
Viola player: Viola, guitar (no effects), vocals, bass, clarinet, toy instruments, drums
Guy who flipped: Guitar (Lots and lots of really cool effects), bass, drums
Other dude: Guitar (with loop setup + cello bow), bass, keys
Drummer: Drums, kazoo, Bob Dylan impression (vocals), Neil Young impression (guitar).

We play ambient/drone music as a kind of a subset of the whole post-rock scene. The viola's a great touch. Although in losing her, we're losing more than just a viola as you can see; multi-instrumentalism is our motto. (And since the viola is hers, I won't be able to play what little viola she taught me as a dodgy replacement.) She's just listed as a viola player because she plays it most. You'd have to hear our band to get it, I guess.
