The day has come when an actual ninja has stepped into The Octagon.

Things will never be the same.

You guys remember when Nick Diaz didn't beat Carlos Condit and tested positive for a banned substance?

I will. Forever.

So he would have been stripped of the title anyway.

What a f---ing idiot.

Great fighter, hilarious personality, but wow, what a complete retard.

The problem here is that weed is a banned substance in the first place.

They do every night.

Because they're roommates.

And they have gay sex with eachother's butt.

So it's been a while since anyone has posted here. But then again, nothing important has really happened since then.

Just a little bit of catch up:

-Overeem is out of the fight with Dos Santos because he tested at Hulk-like levels for testosterone. Frank Mir is taking his place.

-Nick Diaz is continuing his war against Nevada State Athletic Commission by actually suing them to lift his suspension. Even though he retired. If you've kept up with this story, Nick Diaz's lawyer is f---ing crazy. I imagine him doing 6 lines of blow before every interview he gives.

-Hector Lombard, the best Middleweight you've never heard of, signed with the UFC and vacated the Bellator Middleweight Championship. Lombard will make his debut against Brian Stann. This could be the beginning of the end for Bellator. Recent rumblings indicate that some of the higher-profile fighters are not satisfied with their current pay and inconsistent fight schedule.

-Jim Miller vs Nate Diaz at UFC on Fox 3 is now a #1 contender's fight. It's strange to think that a Lightweight title fight may not consist of Frankie Edgar in some way. If you get a chance, check this one out. It could be a Shogun/Henderson quality fight.

-Jon Jones beat up Rashad Evans for 5 rounds and retained the LHW championship. The biggest highlight of the fight was Jones using his elbow to throw a jab and the Hulk Hogan/Ultimate Warrior test of strength thing they were doing during the earlier rounds. Really there's only Dan Henderson and Alexander Gustaffson left to fight and then he's pretty much cleared out the division. There's already talks of him moving to heavyweight in the future.

And that's about it.

I can't wait for that fight. Love me some Jim Miller, and Nate Diaz tends to be in some awesome fights.

Yeah I was hoping Jones would knock Rashad out. Oh well.

How do you think Jones would do at heavyweight?

A lot of it depends on how Jones/Greg Jackson handle it.

-Is Jones going to take some time off to build up muscle and try to retain his speed?

-Is Greg Jackson going to agree to train him? Jackson already has a few Heavyweights in his camp including guys like Travis Browne, Shane Carwin, and Brendan Schaub (Carwin & Schaub train at Grudge Training Center which is a Jackson affiliate).

-How big does Jones want to get? Is he going to stay lean and fight around 235 - 240? Or does he want to get completely jacked and fight at the 265 limit?

-How's his chin? We've never seen Jones really tested, but Rashad Evans (obviously not the world's best boxer) landed 1 punch and a head kick that made Jones catch his balance. Imagine if guys like Cain Velasquez, Alistair Overeem, Cheick Kongo, or Junior Dos Santos land that 1 punch or 1 kick?

And the biggest question:
-Who will he fight? Is it going to be couple of cans like Joey Beltran and Chris Tuchsherer? Or will he fight established guys like Mark Hunt (fuck yeah!), Ben Rothwell, and Stephan Struve? Is the UFC going to jump him straight to the front of the pack and have him fight the champ?

In my opinion, if Jones takes his time (he is only 24, after all) and builds his body up to around 235 - 240, he can retain his stamina and speed while taking on muscle enough to be successful at Heavyweight. I believe he should also test the waters by fighting guys towards the lower - middle of the pack. Guys like Ben Rothwell, Kongo, or even Big Nog. He can do it, he just needs to be patient and stay healthy.

So UFC 146 is coming up and the big story is Frank Mir getting his umpteenth title shot.

There is a fight, however, that almost slipped through the cracks that most definitely should not.

Dan Hardy vs Duane Ludwig. If there was ever a fight that should be a sleeper-hit, it's this one.

Granted, Hardy is coming off a 4-fight-somehow-got-to-keep-my-job losing streak, but he's still got some fire in him and he's absolutely never been the cause of a boring fight. He's still got 1 punch ko power and he'll be looking for Ludwig's chin. Plus, Dan Hardy shooting for a takedown looks like that Far Side comic of the kid pushing on the door that says ''pull".

Ludwig, on the other hand, is the guy that you always say, "That dude is still fighting?". He's been in more wars than Jerusalem and it doesn't seem like he'll ever stop. Plus, the guy owns the fastest KO in UFC history at 4 seconds. His Muay Thai, when he really turns it on, is something to behold (check out his fight with Amir Sodollah). And I think the last time Duane Ludwig took someone down was when he punched them in the kneecaps.

If you get a chance to check out the undercard of UFC 146, be sure to pay attention to this fight. It's going to be a slugfest.
