If we ever get any of it recorded. At this point it is looking like we will play together exactly two more times; one jam session and one concert. I'm definitely going to push to get the show recorded, and I may well record the jam session as well. We definitely need to get some recorded as a memories thing. Although it's not like the viola player will never play with us again, by the time she's got time our super amazing guitarist will have a real job and have left the area.

Never found a band in college, guys. Ever. It makes everything terrible. Of the five members of our band, four have two majors, and three of those four have significant external club responsibilities (with the viola having it the worst.) The one with one major is a lucky son of a bitch. We get to jam as a full group maybe once a month if we're lucky. With the viola formally not a member of the band, we'll maybe double the frequency, but it's going to be pretty sad without her, and I doubt we could really make ourselves think of it as the full band.

I think the lesson is less don't found a band in college and more don't found a trendy, hipster band with a bunch of overachievers.

You could be a millionaire in a mediocre rock band full of alchies right now.

Also, I think most of us are out of school and in the grown up world already. Keep doing the music thing though! I stopped when I was about 24 and still miss it. So many good times.

Fair enough, sir. I think two of us not including me are still in college. And those two should still not start bands.

I'm probably the oldest person here and I'm in school. That sounds like great advice.

Depression and autism run down my dad's side of the family; three of my five cousins on that side are very autistic, and one displays a few autism spectrum traits, and a few of my aunts are plain f---ing insane. I have my own fair share of the depression and autism spectrum traits thing which in general doesn't affect me anymore because I've figured out how to cope/deal with it over the last few years and am a mostly normal member of society -- at least you wouldn't guess my list of issues just talking to me.

HOWEVER, fuck this semester, because I've been so busy I haven't been getting the time away from people that I need to get and I'm starting to fall apart. I'm also not sure, looking at my schedule, where I'm going to put that time, but I do know that I need to do it and start on it fast.

Toooooo many credits. Toooooo many clubs. Toooooo many jobs. Toooooo many bands.

From what I read, it seems like you created a lot of the stress you currently have. Then decided to blame your bitching on hereditary depression and autism.

Quit the bands and quit the clubs. 50% of your problems are gone. You quit your job and school too and you're home free.

Saying that work and school are stressful is like saying that pain hurts.

I assure you, I've been skipping club events and postponing jam sessions for the last few days. But to say I'm simply blaming it on these issues as an excuse is bs. I'm not bitching about what I do -- I love what I'm do. I'm bitching about my issues holding me back from doing these; I'm bitching because right now I can't stay in a crowded room for more than a few minutes before I start to lose my shit; I'm bitching because the best way to deal with issues is to talk about them, so I'm telling you assholes, and my friends, and anybody wondering why I'm so distant these last few days out there in that fijucked up mess called the real world; and most of all I'm bitching because I can't have fun when at concerts right now and really, fuck that.

And also because I've hated all my shrinks, and this form of therapy is cheaper, too.

You should replace those feelings of depression with other feelings. Might I suggest sugar, or drunk.

They're feelings right?

Yes. Yes they are. As long as you aren't suggesting I get sugared and drunk at the same time; that's like calling me a woman. Ladies and their sweetened liquors. . .

Eight f---ing microphones and I can barely find the viola player on any of the tracks. Can't wait until she gets her shit properly electrified.

A friend and I, in a fit of poor judgment, decided it would be funny to buy and consume between us a single serving of potted meat because it looked like "gourmet" cat food. Terrible, terrible idea.

Probably would have been better off with the cat food.

Incidentally, several hours ago I bought some gourmet cat food and we will be eating that as soon as the horrible memory of our initial transgression is behind us.

And what's more, the gourmet cat food was more expensive.

Forthcoming, at some point. We haven't gotten around to the cat food yet; I predict this Monday as the time we really do it.

In other complaining news, I made the terrible mistake of coughing while taking a shot of whiskey tonight. That shit does not feel good inside of my sinuses. In fact, it felt terrible.

The house I bought needs super-cleaned. While removing the last of the previous tenant's trash, one of the trash bags of glass bottles fell over into the driveway. This bag was accidentally run over with my car and the broken glass punctured a tire for massive damage.
