You seem very excited to pay $10 more to own a limited edition of a game you don't care much about....

Well, considering it's a limit edition with a bunch of extra goodies, I'd personally say $50 isn't a bad price, considering Working Design's collection cost a lot more...

Might as well pre-order this since it'll be gone for good after its release, most likely.

Seems like they are using that as an advertising scheme.

BUY NOW BECAUSE SUPPLIES WONT LAST!!!!

Either that or they know that this game will never end up on Greatest Hits.

50 bucks is worth all the crap they give you. Already pre-ordered this, it probably will actually be rare.

Quote:
The story, honestly, is nothing to write home about. The character cast is relatively uninspired, and the game features some of the most banal dialogue I have ever come across. Within the first two hours of the game, players can be treated to dramatic conversations such as:

"Who are you? You look like an adventurer."

"You're right, as you can see, I *am* an adventurer!"

Quote:
Aside from the protagonist, all other members are computer controlled, although specific commands (such as casting spells, attacking a different target, moving to a certain location, etc.) can be issued to them through the main menu. It's fun, it's fast-paced, and it's more action-oriented than the previous installments. The transition to real-time combat was a solid evolution.

Quote:
I'm usually not one to emphasize graphics over gameplay/story, but in Growlanser V: Generations, the production values are so low that it significantly detracts from the experience.
...
The transition from 2D to 3D was done in a rushed manner, and all of the cut corners are painfully obvious. This is simply inexcusable for a game developed in 2006.

Quote:
90-100: Great - Games that score in this category are highly recommended by the reviewer. It is likely that these games are almost universally liked.

80-89: Good - This category describes games in which most things are done right. While this game will most likely end up giving you a quality experience, it is not a true classic.

70-79: Average - These games are neither bad nor good. You will probably find something to enjoy about them, but the amount of faults keeps the game from scoring higher.

60-69: Mediocre/Subpar - These are games in which the shortcomings far outweigh the strengths. It is recommended that only devoted fans of the specific genre or theme devote time to playing. While this game may satisfy a niche group of fans, its appeal is not wide enough to be truly enjoyed.

59 or below: Bad - These games are not recommended at all. They have little to no redeeming qualities, and you will more than likely find them to be a complete waste of your time. Play at your own risk.

Because with most other RPG games we go "Damn, I need to pull out some paper and grab a pen; mom (and/or dad) will DEFINATELY want to hear about this story arc!" _

And/or is at all memorable after you finish the game.

Do you remember what Tales of Symphonia was about? I sure as hell don't. But it was fun.

Yeah, I remember it was about Final Fantasy X for the first twenty hours and then the rest of it was about a tree. I think...

Haha, over 80 hours spent with that game and that's all I took from it.

Wasn't there some racial tension too? I coulda sworn there was racial tension.

Half-elves were the niggers of that game, in both worlds no less. :D

Short synopsis: main character's world is dying because another world tied to it is sharing the same source of mana; higher ups from both worlds are looking to use the main party for its own advantages.
