Wow, Idin was totally right about the tomatoes. After soaking in the fridge overnight it's very overpoweringly tomato-y to the point where freshly heated up it smells like sloppy joe instead of chili. I'm still not tasting any tartness, and it definitely still tastes really good and has enough spice to overcome the overabundance of tomatoes, but next time I'm definitely gonna use only a single can of diced and then some paste instead.
In other news: I brought what I thought was a sizable bowl of the stuff to work today for lunch and it wasn't enough. I'm not as hungry as I was before, but I want moar!
