This sounds like what I'm looking for in a game right now. It will give me something to do at the next fire drill only the dorm nerds show up at.

Max Poison. (105% chance to hit, before the usual -30% to 60% modifiers from FOE that are strong to it)

Max Revenge.

Outdamage every other class in the game barring specific situations.

Borrow the help of a Troubadour or a Dark Hunter for those situations.

Although to be fair, poison's usefulness wanes at about the fourth stratum and setting up revenge becomes even trickier about the time you stopped using them, on the sixth.

Cursecut + Transfer wasn't broken in and of itself, but added to the big ball of WTF...

yeah. Even though there are definitely times the class isn't needed, the class itself was b to the r to the oh, Ken...

Dark Hunter's Bait skill took it even further.

I don't know, Hexers blew against bosses. Waste of a slot. It pretty much became a dedicated item user when it wasn't failing it's spells.

I kept a Dark Hunter through the game, and while bait was nice, it tore through it's TP insanely fast even with 10 points in it. So the skill was no good for traveling and halfway through a boss fight it became a liability on the front lines. It's "low" health finisher seemed pretty cheap against FOEs though, since you can use it as soon as they hit 50%.

So my team I'm tooling aroud with is:

Front: Hoplite and Monk
Back: Farmer, Zodiac, and Prince

They don't dish a ton of amage but they're nearly impossible to put down with all the passive healing the prince does and on the spot heal/resurrect of the monk. I basically outlast anything. Not ideal for FOEs, even though I didn't have any trouble on the floor 2/3 ones yet) but great for exploration

With a monk, you can top off heal, so put your Prince in the front row and watch your damage get a little better.

I'm one of the few people I know who took a Farmer to level 70, with no subclass. They were indispensable for any part of the game I was mapping. I never did bother with the old "get five farmers, farm everything" trick either. Just that one farmer.

I still use my Zodiac for trying to get situational drops but after putting dark ether on my ninja she stopped coming along for anything else. :c Also, if you get an Arbalist, and then beef up the spell bonuses for the elements, it'll affect Arbalist's elemental bolts significantly.

But you won't get subclasses until the third stratum, hahaha~
