Then why not just write in a blog at this point? Nobody reads this shit anyway so he might as well post it where nobody is going to read it and in turn nobody is going to rip on him.

He gets to see his own words on his screen and we don't want to kill him more then we already do.

Win/win.

Oh I get it. I know your game now. You type all this sh-- up on MS Word, then copypasta as soon as you get on RPGLand so you can spend the least amount of time possible on this site. Also allowing you to avoid the rest of our comments.

You cheeky bastard. I'm on to you. I'm f---ing on to you.

Nah, I usually just read all the other posts in this topic before I log in, although I usually ignore J.L.'s posts as well as whichever ones go too far off topic. That, and I'm trying to avoid Dragon Age spoilers that have popped up since I'm still not very far in that game.

I'll probably update the topic with more SO4 play-by-play when I've made a little more progress.

You can't spoil Dragon Age because nothing worthwhile happens in it.

LiQuid, I'm actually kinda surprised. I mean, I've been aware of your hatred of all things Japanese, but I figured you'd be more open to wRPG storytelling. Granted, I haven't done all that much in Dragon Age yet, but the storytelling, characters, and general lore of the game seem really in-depth from what I've played.

My only issues with DA:O is the crap-tastic battle system and the way the developers have tailored the entire gameplay to render stats, levels, and equipment completely pointless. If they don't want DA:O to be a numbers game, they should've just ditched stats, levels, and their sh*tty quasi-turn based battle system and made it an action game, and I would've been perfectly fine with that.

Still, Star Ocean 4 has all my attention at this point, and I doubt I'll even be touching any other games until I beat it first.

In depth doesn't mean good. Though you wouldn't have any proper metric for what is good anyways due to being a huge homo.

ITT: LiQuid! comes out of the closet; admits he wishes he could have sex with all of us. Yes, all of us. Including Mr. Cruz.

Wein, get a Livejournal so I can add you on it.

I saw the thread a while ago but didn't feel like posting. I totally played and beat this last month, Wein. I had it for a long time and it was bugging me that I never really gave it a shot. Overall, I wish I hadn't taken so much time to do the sidequests and just did the main story stuff right to the end. I was going in thinking I was going to be really invested in the post-game stuff, but the game overall, has the worst style outta all the Star Oceans. The monster designs and awkward backgrounds and character models made it so that after I beat it, that was it.

I had fun with it, but I don't think you should give it your all like you want to. The trophies/achievements for it are insane too, don't even think about going for 100%. There is some dude on my friends list that has been playing this game for like a year and then some and he doesn't have more than half of them.
