After our awesome OT win last night, my buddy called several pizzerias in Philadelphia and asked for the Buffalo Sabres special. When they asked what that was, he shouted "It's the one you get in OOOOOOOOOOVERTIME" and hung up. Immature? Yes. Unfunny to most? Undoubtedly. Hilarious to a group of buzzed up Sabres fans after a thrilling Game 5 victory? Oh, indeed. _________________ http://didthemapleleafswin.com/ |

You're right, I should have talked about some chittyshittybangbang soccer team that lost 1-0 after 500 minutes of playing grab ass in the middle of the field. I'm sure they would have gotten the joke then. _________________ http://didthemapleleafswin.com/ |

I'm gonna have to figure out a way to overpower my father-in-law & take the remote tomorrow to make sure that I'm watching the Blackhawks instead of 9 hours of beginning of the season baseball. Tampa vs Toronto, the word "meh" hasn't worked this hard since the next location of the World Cup was announced.
If they win tomorrow, I may just take this place over and throw a Game 7 party.
This thread should be retitled NHL Playoffs 2011 Thread: Fijuck Soccer Edition. _________________ "The teen passed out during the ceremony and the town decided to drown the cow." |

Is Pominville going to be out long term?
Also where is Derek Roy? Is Roy out long term? _________________ If you buy stuff from Play Asia, help support RPG Land. Thank you. |

Pominville's probably out for the series. Not sure beyond that. Roy is "a matter of days" from returning. Eh. Neither of them make this team tick. I could do without both. _________________ http://didthemapleleafswin.com/ |

Gotta go with Big Douche as long as he's on a team with Hartnell, Carcillo, etc. It's been a tough series. Game 7, while disappointing, seems fitting. The Sabres play a good road game and they have the better goalie/special teams. They're not the better 5 on 5 team, but they've gotten this far and despite the blown leads, I've gotta believe they can do it Tuesday.
So the Canucks showed up. That's good for entertainment's sake because cripes, those two blowouts were brutal. Gotta feel like Luongo starts Game 7 if the Hawks come back here. _________________ http://didthemapleleafswin.com/ |

It is kinda hilarious. I'm down with an Ermac-themed forum if that is the picture involved. _________________ http://didthemapleleafswin.com/ |

The Sabres better get their shit in gear. Giving up a lead like they did and then to lose it in overtime is ri-damn-diculous. That shithead, Chrissy Pronger, is back and that just makes me want the Flyers to lose even more. I can't be a Flyers fan as long as he's playing for them.
Ben Smith is currently my favorite non-related person in the world. Perfect timing, perfect place. I can't wait for game 7. Taking that shit back to Vancouver and f---ing up their dreams for the third year in a row would be the absolute best thing ever.
Caps took the Rangers. It's cool becaue I'm an Ovechkin fan, but at the same time I always root for any of the Original 6 except Detroit. _________________ "The teen passed out during the ceremony and the town decided to drown the cow." |

Man I remember using him all the time back in MK Ultimate 3. That game was rad. MK2 was the best but I had my fun with both of those. For 2-3 years there, RP and I would basically split the summers between Mortal Kombat, NHL 95, and whatever Game Boy game we were high on at the time. _________________ If you buy stuff from Play Asia, help support RPG Land. We might be on the verge of seeing a team come back from being down 3-0 to win a best of 7, in back to back years, gentlemen. While it's not in the books -- nay, far from it, as the Vancouver Vancouvers will come out fighting like a team that does not want to be put into history that way -- it's crazy to think that this MIGHT happen. _________________ If you buy stuff from Play Asia, help support RPG Land. It's going to happen. Unless the Canucks find another goalie (not unheard of in Canada) in the next 2 days we have all the momentum coming in against a team that we man handled twice and just beat in overtime. Thats got to be a sinking feeling for the Canucks. _________________ "True to the bullet pith on the enclose, Rocksmith allows you to beat the drum for legitimate hither any electric guitar into the proprietary USB chain that comes with the encounter..." - NEERGENCE, 12/02/2011 |
