And then I realized that with the exception of 2 rounds of last year's playoffs, in the last 3 years, if there's been NHL hockey, there's been Penguin hockey. Seems surreal. They were definitely not gonna win the cup sans Malkin and Crosby though so I guess better to bow out early and get a slightly higher draft pick. |
Bylsma should win Coach of the Year though. That team tied for 2nd most points in the conference without their top two players and was one goal short of the second round. Not bad given the situation. _________________ http://didthemapleleafswin.com/

I went to a hockey playoff game last night, got free tickets, sat 5 rows from the glass behind the goalie.
And I hate hockey... _________________

Was it the minor leagues?
I ask because you are in Texas and Dallas is out. _________________ If you buy stuff from Play Asia, help support RPG Land. Thank you. |

Yeah minor league, AHL Houston Aeros vs. Milwuake Admirals for the Calder cup
It was 5-3 game, more scoring than other 2 finals game combined, it was crazy stuff. _________________

Reason #9,611 Hockey will always be better than basketball.
I'm watching this Mavs/Lakers Game 4 and the Lakers are getting smoked and on their way to being swept from the series. But because it's the NBA, the pussy Lakers can just take cheap shot after cheap shot at the Mavs players and try to injure them and the Mavs can do nothing in retaliation lest they have players suspended for next series. This culminated in Andrew Bynum laying the cheapest of cheap shots with a running elbow to the ribs of a defenseless Mav player going for a layup. He shows no emotion and immediately walks to the locker room as he's ejected. He even takes his shirt off like a while he's walking.
If you tried to pull that crap in hockey, even if you were getting swept, you would get your Ass. Kicked. Then your best player would get HIS ass kicked. And the ass kickers would go sit in a box for 5 minutes then get right back in it. No suspensions. No 'flagrant foul'. The game regulates itself because it's played by people with actual respect for the game and respect for the opponent who can go tic for tac on the physicality. _________________ http://didthemapleleafswin.com/ |

How the fuck do the Sharks give up 3 goals in the last 15 minutes of the game? _________________ "The teen passed out during the ceremony and the town decided to drown the cow." |

That was ridiculous. This entire post season has been crazy. Two seeps and now two series that very well may make it to the 7th game. The more I'm seeing the more i think the winner of the Eastern conference is gonna take this cup. I'm torn between rooting for an original 6 team and going for the Bolts though. If the Predators beat the Canucks I will cheer them on until my throat is hoarse and sore. _________________ "True to the bullet pith on the enclose, Rocksmith allows you to beat the drum for legitimate hither any electric guitar into the proprietary USB chain that comes with the encounter..." - NEERGENCE, 12/02/2011 |

Never been so happy that a team lost until I watched Detroit lose last night. _________________ "The teen passed out during the ceremony and the town decided to drown the cow." |

Haha yeah, for me it was bitterawesome. I can't stand the Wings and am glad to see them make an exit. But I looove the idea of any team coming from down 3-0 to win a series. Even when Philly did it last year I wasn't totally enraged to see the gay Flyers move on because of how they did it.
I admit for just that one night, I would've found it kinda cool for Detroit to move on.
Well, with that out of the way, just hoping for a good series, don't really have any beef with the Couver or San Jose so...I guess I'm hopping on the Dwayne Roloson express? _________________ If you buy stuff from Play Asia, help support RPG Land. Thank you. |

Man. Tampa really does pull it out when they need to. I really like all of the teams that are left in the playoffs. I could watch a Stanley Cup with any of them in it. _________________ "True to the bullet pith on the enclose, Rocksmith allows you to beat the drum for legitimate hither any electric guitar into the proprietary USB chain that comes with the encounter..." - NEERGENCE, 12/02/2011 |

I find myself kinda pulling for the Bay after the awesome comeback, and due to Horton being a dickhead. You don't taunt some guy that you just injured, even if it is Steve Downie. _________________ If you buy stuff from Play Asia, help support RPG Land. Thank you. |

Starting to look like a Boston/Vancouver Cup. Think I'm gonna root for original six in the cup. That would make two years in a row that an original 6 team won it. And that is great. Next year if it ain't the Hawks its the Leafs turn! _________________ "True to the bullet pith on the enclose, Rocksmith allows you to beat the drum for legitimate hither any electric guitar into the proprietary USB chain that comes with the encounter..." - NEERGENCE, 12/02/2011 |

Did anybody see how the Canucks/Sharks game ended last night?
That's one of the craziest endings I've ever seen. _________________ "The teen passed out during the ceremony and the town decided to drown the cow." |

Everyone just gave up on the play. It was like something out of a video game. Except there was a Bieksa glitch -- as it shall come to be known. _________________ If you buy stuff from Play Asia, help support RPG Land. Thank you. |
