So at the least, he'll be out tomorrow's game.

Bet you he is out the rest of the playoffs.

He should be. He's a human highlight reel of headshots.

Who knew Matt Cooke would become the poster boy of what the NHL is trying to accomplish? Total goon on a level with Torres, gets pulled aside by Mario in the offseason, told to buckle it up and he buckles it up so much that he's got hardly any PIM in the dirtiest playoffs series since the lockout. Who knew. Whatever Cooke sipped in the offseason, that's the kool-aid Torres needs to be sippin.

Niiiiiice.

Also, was Marty Broduer on the verge of tears during his post-game interview in Florida? He was complaining about the fans throwing rats and by the way his voice sounded, you'd think a rat killed his dad.

Didn't see that interview. He should probably not let the Panthers score. Then he wouldn't have to worry about dealing with rats on the ice.

Kinda nice to see the Penguins deciding show up for the last few games. I will lose my shit if New York gets knocked out by f---ing Ottawa. It's not that I don't like the Senators, but it would be such an upset.

I know! I picked the Rangers here, but on a whim I went with Ottawa in Janelle's family pool so that'd be sweet for me if they won.

That series going my way would balance out the fact that one of my "5 players whose point total will be added to your score" was Hossa. >_<

Edit: I was the only person in the group who picked LA to beat Vancouver, too, haha awesome.

I would love for the Sens to beat the Rangers. I have always liked the Senators and would love to see them do something finally. If they win and the Hawks lose I'm going to be rooting for a Yotes/Sens Stanley Cup. I doubt even Vegas had a line for that.

OK, Brian Engblom is drunk tonight, officially.

Like three or four times through the game, he put an "s" on the end of words that did not end in 's', all on top of saying complete nonsense with regularity.

The best slip was in mid game "He was literally in Corey Crawford's kitchen right there."
Really? Hanzal was LITERALLY in Crawford's kitchen? Because it sure as hell looked to me like he was on the ice for the motherfijucking hockey game that his team is in right now. If he's literally in an opponent's kitchen when said opponent is not at home or expecting company, two things: the Coyotes are shorthanded during a crucial time, and um, that's trespassing.

I forget what he just said during a post-game interview with Doan, but it made me laugh out loud. I should have typed this post before making an eBay complaint so that I could remember. Damn.

The Engblom thing wouldn't bother me so much if he didn't have an audience of like a million people and if he weren't making 10 times my salary.

Well, I'm officially a Sens and Yotes fan for the time being. So whats everyone's thoughts on the West now?

I got:

Blues over Kings
Preds over Yotes (but rooting for the Yotes)

I'm actually looking forward to the Preds/Yotes game.

Ya know, I feel like St. Lou is the pick here but...

Kings over Blues
Preds over Yotes

Not sure, just feeling it. I like Quick more than Halak/Elliott, like the way the Kings play on the road. We'll see. Both are gonna be tough, low scoring series. Happy for the Coyotes though and I'll be rooting for whoever wins that series.

It amazes me that there is a real chance that the 8 seed can knock out the 1 seed in both conferences. It would just be awesome.

Called it! Then again I was wrong with half my picks so far, but still. Small victories.

If the Rangers lose tonight the 4 Original Six teams will all have been eliminated in the first round.

Wow, our picks and cheering for teams are exactly the same.
