Natural Doctrine review
This was kind of a frustrating underachiever. I thought it would be like some kind of Fire Emblem / Valkyria Chronicles hybrid, but that couldn't be further from the truth.
Difficult games can be great. However, they're great because the difficulty also comes with a certain balance. When they're "difficult" because of poor design and mechanics that don't work properly...well...that's not difficulty, it's poor structure masquerading as difficulty.
Not only that, but it moved way too slow. Felt like watching the enemy's turn took a week.
Still has an interesting battle system and does feel unique. At least there's that. No regrets on having played it. Just wish it could have been better.
