Someone brought this up on another forum and the progression of the conversation lead me to search for the pinnacle of all websites on the entire internet, which you can find here. I actually owned that album. I loved it. I played "Skipping Stones" so many times that I knew precisely how long it took to rewind the tape to the beginning of the song. I was only 11 or 12 at the time, but it's without a doubt the most embarassing album I've ever owned. I'm seriously beginning to boggle at how I'd made it through primary school, as big a nerd as I was...

The TMNT rocked and everybody knows it.

Was that the tape you got when you joined the TMNT fan club? I remember some kind of music thing they did with that, didn't it include a video too?

TMNT did rock

Not sure. I actually begged my mother (and promised to do homework) to buy it for me from Target. I was never in the TMNT fanclub. I was never that cool. I did collect trading cards (both live action and animated version), had a huge collection of the toys (which are still in the basement at home unless my pop threw them away), owned all the movie's and soundtracks, and collected the series of home videos of the animated show that I think Burger King sold as a promotion... I guess I take comfort in the fact that nearly every 20-something with a penis was a Ninja Turtle fan back in the day, but that doesn't excuse all the things that I've done.

This makes me want to start a nostalgia thread. THUNDER CATS! I had the sword... man it was awesome until my older brother broke it! I still curse him for that to this day Wink

It might not have been part of the fan club. I just had so much ninja turtle junk that it kind of meshes together. I think you could actually get it at pizza hut or something... I'm confused...

Hahahaha, dude you owned that? When did that happen? You must have been ashamed of yourself like the moment you picked that up or something because I never knew you owned an Ace of Base CD. I really don't remember a lot of CDs I've bought after the first 5 or 6, which were all solid buys. I'm sure I've bought plenty of crap though.

By the math, I'd have been living in Strattanville at the time, meaning yeah, you probably never saw me with it. Thank God.

keep in mind that I hit the age of actually caring about bands right around the time that there was a major boy-band influx. Basically, I've got them all. Backstreet Boys, Nsync, 98 degrees... etc.

Yeah, i win this thread.

Also, I owned the TMNT tape too... went and saw the concert and everything. Very Happy

Woah you actually saw them on tour? You're like 1,000,000x more hardcore than me...

Hearing that makes my heart heavy (and my prostate weak - anyone?). We were all mainstream once... Maybe not boy band mainstream, but close. I used to listen to Limp Bizkit. That's got to qualify me for some kind of lameass award.

Yeah, I've had this discussion with Owozifa. My entire childhood existed within TMNT and X-men. Only the best cartoons of the 80's/90's.
