Dynasty Warriors 2

Dynasty Warriors is a hack and slash battle game centered in the early
days of Japan. You control a character (that you have the option
of picking) which belongs to a team. There's different clans that
want to try to rule for supremacy and it's up to you to prove that
you've got what it takes to rule Japan!
This section is probably the only section were dynasty warriors
scores high
in points. The PS2 produces beautiful CG cinema graphics explaining
the
store line and the locations that you battle on are detailed to
the max. The
most impressive fact in dynasty warriors 2 is that there can be
so much bad guys on screen at the same time and there's absolutely
no slow down. Plus
every single character is detailed right down to the last bit of
clothing on
them. But we all know (and if you don't...shame on you!) that graphics
is
not what makes a game entertaining.......
Dynasty Warriors is a very simple game. Actually it's too simple.
What is
meant by that comment? Well Dynasty Warriors fails to offer something
that would have improved the game: Character Development. The idea
is to run
around and slice tons and tons of soldiers over and over and over
again and it just gets too repetitive and dull when there's no new
moves or anything
like that to learn. That one thing is what destroys the games overall
replay
value. When you get on the horse it's fun to run around and knock
groups of soldiers, but if the bad guys strength is higher than
yours you can't knock em' over, limiting the use of the horse around
ending bosses.
The only thing that saves the replay value from totally falling
down is the
fact that you can choose a different character when you complete
the story with your first choice. They will go through the same
area's slicing there way to the ending. There's around twenty-something
characters in total to get.
The only thing that boosts this games score is the beautiful graphics.
Dynasty Warriors is worth a good rental at least, just to see if
you'll
enjoy the game or not. The game is a toss up between you either
thinking
it's okay, or hating it to death.....nothing in between.
