Atari and Cryptic’s MMORPG Star Trek Online will take flight on Groundhog Day of 2010 for North Americans, launching a few days later (Feb. 5) for Australia and Europe. Lots of info and applications to beta tests can be found on the game’s official website.
People still like Final Fantasy VII

If PSN download numbers are any indication, Final Fantasy VII must not have aged so poorly after all, as Squaresoft’s megahit was the most purchased title on the PlayStation Network in October. September saw the game at #3, and oddly, Final Fantasy Tactics (PSX version) also showed up at #8 that month. Source: Examiner.
Final Fantasy XI’s Shantotto Ascension now live

A new Final Fantasy XI version update is out alongside the newest mini-expansion, A Shantotto Ascension. The full details of the update can be found here, while the add-on’s official page is here. In other FFXI news, the Ultimate Collection for PC and 360 has launched for 20 bucks. This pack contains the base game and all previous expansions, including the three minis added this year.
MMORPG developer Mythic downsized

Electronic Arts-owned Mythic Entertainment, developer of MMORPGs such as Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer Online (ironically written about mere hours ago) saw a serious size decrease today.

Warhammer Online free trial now endless
