In a move that certainly won’t irritate any old-school nostalgia junkies, Square Enix, according to the usually reliable, Japanese-reading RPG-o-philes at NeoGAF, has announced Final Fantasy IV The After – Return to the Moon for mobile phones, a direct sequel to SE’s classic RPG Final Fantasy IV.
The game, featuring a descendant of Cecil named Theodore, looks to take place after the events of the original Final Fantasy IV.
The game is scheduled for release in Japan in February 2008 for NTT DoCoMo phones and spring for AU Win Brew supported devices. Bitter tears are, however, available now, and in large quantities.
