RPG Deals 5/24 – 5/30

Corporate takeovers are the Phoenix Downs of the business world.

Before delving into this week’s main topic, Toys R Us is offering a $50 gift card with the purchase of two games, or a $20 gift card with the purchase of one game. The games are all for the Wii console and there are eight games to choose your selection from. None of them are RPGs. You can put the gift card towards one, though.

Circuit City yet lives. The retailer that was once under has been bought out and re-launched as an online only store. There is nothing spectacular about their prices, but they do have some older RPGs available on their website. The prices of some of these titles are actually pretty decent. However, I cannot vouch for the validity of the new management so exercise some consumer caution when buying any product.

While the economy needs food badly in this current financial gauntlet, it will be interesting to see which stores that have gone under will reappear under new management. Circuit City used to be an excellent place for finding good deals on games in general. It is a possibility it may be again. Of course, any deals just put more money back into your pocket if you were going to buy the title anyway.

Happy Hunting.

Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Prices in each store may differ. You can try different stores to mitigate this, and always ask if a store has it before writing them off. You might be able to get a raincheck. A lot of these deals are in-store only, except where specified.
