Xseed loves their customers on the PSN, Aksys sells the “kyaa!”, and other deals.
The PSN is doing their usual amazing sales on PSP games for download. Xseed is doing a sale after Atlus and NISA.
- For $10: Brave Story: New Traveler, Dungeon Maker: Hunting Ground, Valhalla Knights, and Wild Arms XF.
- For $15: Valhalla Knights 2
The links are to RPG Land’s reviews of the games. Also, NISA’s sale is still going on.
Aksys has a sale on its company site. The Agarest box of spank is available for $30, and Mimana: The Iyar Chronicles is $20.
Best Buy is offering $30 in store credit when any two Wii games between $40 and $70 apiece are bought on the same receipt.
Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition for the PC is $40 this week at Best Buy.
Target has Fable III on sale for $40 this week.
Toys R Us is offering a free $10 gift card with the purchase of Fable III, or a $40 gift card with the purchase of Fable III and another select, non-RPG game.
Speaking of Fable III and DAO: Ultimate Edition, both are $40 each at K-Mart this week.
Amazon.com has 4 Heroes of Light on the DS and White Knight Chronicles for the PS3 at $20 apiece. The link for 4 Heroes is to RPG Land’s review, so check it out before you shop. WKC is a decent game as well. The battle system is nice and the customization is great.
As for Holiday Advice:
Online has really changed the holiday shopping routine. I know this year I’m seeing less cars at the malls and stores (still plenty, though), but with a predicted increase in retail revenue I last heard, the buying has to be coming from somewhere.
I remember in 2005 or so when Amazon, on Black Friday, was selling the 360 Core system for $100. It lasted all of a minute, or maybe less. I know I tried to get a system, but the site was down the moment the deal went up. It felt, to me, that retail had shifted at that moment. Sure, this had been going on for years, but the retail season was always so busy inside the stores. Now, not so much. It seemed to decline in 2008 and has been that way since.
But I’ve rambled. The advice is simple – check online offering daily. Even more so than usual. You might save, and third party retailers working through another site may fluctuate prices hourly.
Happy Hunting.
Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Deals may stop and any time. Prices in each store may differ. You can try different stores to mitigate this, and always ask if a store has the item before leaving the store. You might be able to get a raincheck. Many deals are in-store only, except where specified.
