Overlords? Of my unicorns?

It’s more likely than you think.

Shadows Over Loathing sees a Switch release March 5. A sequel to West of Loathing, the game is a comedy adventure with stick figure art, and quite honestly; sounds like a good time.

Unicorn Overlord hits all Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X on March 8. The game is a strategy RPG by VanillaWare, whose plan to conquer all RPG genres is being well-executed. A demo is available to try as of this writing.

The Switch port of the historical fiction RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance hits March 15.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 wills itself onto systems March 22. A sequel to the game where my sidekick – whom I assumed would just be carrying my weapons and was thus named ‘Paige’ – jumped on the back of a griffin and began using the hilt of her sword to bludgeon it to death. It was epic. Paige was also a little red-headed girl, but definitely not the stepchild of that fight. Hopefully Dragon’s Dogma 2 brings that same energy.

The physical edition of the PS5 version of Front Mission 1st is supposed to be released March 22. The physical version has been delayed twice for the PS5 this year.

As a side note: Octopath Traveler was recently delisted from the Switch console (but not Steam) as of this writing, so picking up physical editions of games I want at some point has been at the back of my mind. The Land does love itself some video game preservation.

Another remaster across the Switch and PS4/5 is The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered. It is a port of well-received DS game, which is always good in my book.

Seriously, more DS games should be released on modern consoles. Add a DS game port, Switch 2! Do it!
