The success of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 on PlayStation 2 has now led to a follow-up other than the special “Fes” release of the game (available only in Japan). Famitsu magazine has revealed that an anime based on the game is in the making.?? A pair of? magazine scans? on the subject:
Duckroll at NeoGAF records, “Set in another furturistic city 10 years after the events of Persona 3, the anime revolves around the undead that disguise themselves as humans known as ‘reverse.’ It’ll be a supernatural story like the Persona series and involve 3 brothers.”
Noteworthy credits include Atsushi Matsumoto as director, character design by Shigenori Soejima of the Persona game franchise, music by Taku Iwasaki, and Yasuyuki Muto as lead writer. A-1 Pictures, a subsidiary of Aniplex, will be handling the animation. The official site link will eventually be here, though the link is not working as of this writing.
