Akella announces new seafaring RPG, City of Abandoned Ships

Russian publisher Akella, maker of Sea Dogs, announced today that a new pirate-themed game called City of Abandoned Ships is in development, with a projected release date of Q1 2008. Developed in partnership with Seaward, City of Abandoned Ships seeks to recreate the 17th century Caribbean, and will contain quests and characters reflecting real historical events and people. It will also boast a character progression system called the “Power, Impression, Reaction, Authority, Talent, Endurance and Success” system, or “PIRATES” for short.
