DS to Profile Valkyries…if ya know what I mean

A Valkyrie Profile game for the Nintendo DS has just been revealed via Jump magazine. Being developed by tri-Ace and with character designs by Kou Yoshinari, it will be a new game in the series, not a remake of a previous one. This yet-unnamed (officially) game will have a theme of taking revenge against “the gods,” which, if this installment holds true to previous series titles, refers to those of Norse mythology. In a turn from the first two games (which appeared on PlayStation and PlayStation 2, then a remake of the first came to PlayStation Portable), players will not play a female valkyrie, but rather a gray-haired dude. At present, the game is scheduled to be released in Japan in 2008.
