RPG Land to Merge With RPGamer
By Heath | April 1, 2009 at 4:54 am
You may have noticed less updates on RPG Land lately. Our 10 years of not having advertisements has caught up to us, and the factory where RPG Land bandwidth has been manufactured recently saw 80% of its employees laid off. During these tough economic times, desperate measures must sometimes be pursued.
The beacon of light in this is RPGamer, as ever a beacon of light any website has been. RPG Land will remain independent for the rest of 2009, but then be gradually, wholly absorbed into RPGamer. All content, staff, and disdain for other websites will carry over from RPG Land to RPGamer.
“I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about,” playfully innocent RPGamer Resource Manager Andrew Long will probably say in a hypothetical press release responding to this news. He’ll further pretend not to know, “No man, that’s not even happening.”
At this time, we expect the two websites to completely become one this time next year.
