At the LEVEL 5 VISION conference, Level-5 unveiled its newest RPG, Fantasy Life.  The game will be designed by Level-5, but developed by Brownie Brown, the company responsible for titles such as Blue Dragon Plus, Magical Starsign, and Mother 3.

Described as “a new form of RPG,” and a “slow-life RPG,” Fantasy Life‘s basic concept revolves around its title: players will create their own fantasy life in a do-as-you-please atmosphere.  Set in the fictional land of “Fantazeal,” players will be able to create avatars and choose from a wide variety of occupations.  Each occupation has its own unique quests that players will be able to complete.

One point that received particular emphasis in the announcement was the music.  The score will be composed by Nobuo Uematsu, who is famous for his work in the Final Fantasy series and whose recent projects include Mistwalker’s  Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon Plus.  Also noted was that there would be a total of 20 ending theme songs, each paired with an in-game occupation, and one main theme, meaning the game will contain a whopping 21 vocal themes.

Fantasy Life is currently scheduled to arrive in Japanese retailers some time in 2010.  The official website can be found here.
