The above characters, from left to right, are “Milk Colored” (that’s not a translation goof — her name is actually “Miruku Karaado” written in katakana), Liner Ryuto, Ferris Aeris, and Shion Astal.
Liner is the main character of the game, who prides himself on his magic skills and can supposedly duplicate the spells of others. Following in the storytelling footsteps of many true RPG classics, he’s an orphan.
Ferris is the token “silent and mysterious” type of girl who shows up in every other Japanese RPG. She has a potentially hilarious love of dango (a Japanese snack food).
Shion is the king of the Roland Empire.
Milk Color is an orphan who grew up in the same orphanage as Liner.
Presently, Kadokawa’s Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu: Legendary Saga, or “Legend of a Hero’s Legend: Legendary Saga” or “How Many Legendary Times Can We Legendarily Say Legend in One Legendary Game Title of Legends?” is set to be released in Japan this winter, probably meaning the January/February side of 2010.
