Tokyo Mono Hara Shi first-look info, screens, scans, video

Persona fans may want to pay attention to this one, as Atlus is getting ready to launch what looks to be a somewhat similar game in Japan.
Tokyo Mono Hara Shi is technically classified as an “adventure RPG,” but not “adventure” in the Tomb Raider or Zelda sense — that’s a reference to Japanese text adventure games. These tend to play out like electronic choose-your-own-adventure graphic novels or dating sims, though from the media available now, Tokyo Mono Hara Shi doesn’t appear to have much, if any dating.
So anyway, expect story sequences to be very mangalike. The gameplay, meanwhile, will be first-person dungeon crawling similar to some Shin Megami Tensei games (such as Strange Journey for the DS) and the Etrian Odyssey series.
Not much else is known about Tokyo Mono Hara Shi at this time. It takes place in a school setting, as is the style of these times we’re in, and has first-person dungeon rocking. More info will be posted as it comes out, leading up to the game’s April 22 Japanese release date.
