RPG Deals 4/4 – 4/10
By Russ | April 4, 2010 at 7:42 pm
On sale this week: Borderlands, a little Pokemon, some stuff from EA, and the re-release of a hard-to-find N64 game.
Best Buy is announcing a $20 price drop on Borderlands across all systems. That’s $40 for the PS3 and 360, and $30 for the PC. Additionally, disc-based expansions are available for $20 this Tuesday, but only on the 360 and PC.
Toys R Us is offering up to 40% off certain DS titles, and the Pokemon games are no exception – except none of them are 40% off. $5 has been taken off the price of SoulSilver and HeartGold for a $35 tag, Shadows of Almia is sitting at $25, and Explorers of Sky is $22.50. Also check back on Friday and Saturday – Toys R Us has been running weekend deals, like ‘buy 1 get another 50% off’ style stuff.
The EA Store has a keen deal – $20 off any title normally $40 or over with the coupon PAXEAST842. This includes Dragon Age and its expansion, as well as Mass Effect 2. It also works on certain pre-orders, though you will have to find out which ones.
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber was released on the Virtual Console this past Monday. The game fetches for a lot more on the secondhand market than it does for the $10 on the VC.
At Play-Asia , the sometimes hard-to-find DS dungeon crawler Izuna 2 is about $22, while the Japanese-language version of the Persona remake on PSP has been marked down to $18.90.
That’s all I got for this week. Pop on over to the forums and let us know how we’re doing sometime.
Happy Hunting.
Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Prices in each store may differ. You can try different stores to mitigate this, and always ask if a store has it before writing them off. You might be able to get a raincheck. A lot of these deals are in-store only, except where specified.
