RPG Deals 5/9 – 5/15

By Russ | May 9, 2010 at 1:30 pm

We have a couple deals from last week, such as Final Fantasy XIII and Resonance of Fate, which will end tomorrow, and some new deals, like Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.

There really is not that much in the way of deals this week, but I still try to find what I can.

K-Mart still has the RPG deals from last week’s column available until close tomorrow.  That list is:

I may pick up Nier.  I hear it is terrific.

Target is offering Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for $20.  In a few months the PSP Kingdom Hearts game will be available, so this is good time to catch up on what the hell is going on.

GameStop has had some price drops.  Glory of Heracles for the DS is $15 dollars, and Phantom Brave on the Wii is $20.  Apparently, GameStop is starting to dabble with actual clearance prices on current gen systems.

Both Penny Arcade games have been on special for a few weeks through the PSN.  That’s $15 for both games.

Also on the PSN is Valhalla Knights 2: Battle Stance for $20.  You can check out a review for the game here.

Best Buy is giving away copies of the Burning Crusade expansion for World of Warcraft when customers buy the initial WoW game.

If you see a featured deal in the paper, don’t be afraid to take the advertisement to another store you may frequent more often and price match. Typically the store will call over to see if the title is in stock, but that’s the only catch.  This practice may save you time and help build up reward points, if you go for those types of systems.

That’s all I got for this week.  Happy Hunting.

Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Prices in each store may differ. You can try different stores to mitigate this, and always ask if a store has it before writing them off. You might be able to get a raincheck. A lot of these deals are in-store only, except where specified.
