RPG Deals 9/12 – 9/18

This week is dominated by deals for a futile endeavor, though a few places have something up their sleeve.  There’s a one-day only deal on Resonance of Fate in particular.

Really, Halo: Reach is the Crisis Core of first person shooters.  You play through the entire game just to get gunned down at the end.

Deals I Have Used: Like I said last week – Valkyria Chronicles 2 for $25.  I did have two of those $20 coupons, one of which I used on VK2 and another on Birth by Sleep.  I’ve really been loving K-Mart lately for this stuff.

K-Mart may be doing the Halo: Reach thing like everyone else, but buying the game at K-Mart will net $25 off another 360 title.  The list includes the below RPGs:

Buying Halo: Reach will also get you a $25 coupon in addition the discount on one of the games.  Crazy, right?

Certain Toys R Us stores are offering 30% off on discounted games.  One of the local stores had FFXIII, Resonance of Fate, Nier and a few others on various discount prices.

Amazon is also sporting some Resonance of Fate today.  Amazon’s video game Deal of the Day has the PS3 version of the title for $30.  Additionally, the PS3 version of FFXIII is $20 for an unspecified period of time.

Starting tomorrow on Xbox Live’s Deal of the Week are certain puzzle games.  Gyromancer and Puzzle Chronicles are two of the titles for 800 and 400 points respectively.  Both are fantasy-themed, ‘Columns-styled’ puzzle games with RPG elements.

That’s all I got for this week.  Happy Hunting.

Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Deals may stop and any time.  Prices in each store may differ. You can try different stores to mitigate this, and always ask if a store has the item before leaving the store. You might be able to get a raincheck. Many deals are in-store only, except where specified.
