RPG Deals 1/23 – 1/29
By Russ | January 23, 2011 at 9:20 pm
Not much in the way of deals or price drops this week, though I have a few to list.
I think such barren deals are the result of Dead Space 2 being released this week.
I would also like to share with you two trends to saving money on video games:
- This one’s more of reminder, but Amazon.com will typically match any deal from Best Buy, Target, and Toys R Us.
- Lately, K-Mart’s deals have been changing due to service issues on the company end of things. I have reported on some deals which have changed or have been removed from K-Mart’s system. I apologize for the issues and will update the column when I become of aware of them during.
If you buy DC Universe at Toys R Us this week, you can get any $19.99 game for $5 on the same coupon.
Monster Hunter: Tri is $30 at Target this week.
Blazing Souls: Accelate is $21 at Amazon.com.
The NISA Store has finally offered free shipping. The store’s shipping charges used to be horrendous; sometimes to the point where $20 was charged for a $40 game.
Some future possible deals:
K-Mart: Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded will be $23 on 1/30. Two Worlds 2 will be $40 on 1/30. Additionally, you can e-mail your receipt number to josh.deane@searshc.com and get a free DLC weapon. DC Universe will be $45 on 1/30 as well.
That’s all I got for this week. Happy Hunting.
Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Deals may stop and any time. Prices in each store may differ. You can try different stores to mitigate this, and always ask if a store has the item before leaving the store. You might be able to get a raincheck. Many deals are in-store only, except where specified.
