Shop Watch April 2011

Two re-releases this month. The column’s a week late and neither you nor I missed a beat.
Sword of Mana was released late last month on PSN. Islands of Wakfu as released on Xbox Live this past week.

Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Sagas, published by Atlus (360). Divinity II was pretty laughable, but I hardly think that is a reason to re-release it. However, the demo for this version did not chug as hard as the last, so it remains to be seen. Atlus’ release does contain all the DLC/extra content originally released for the title, and initial releases come with the soundtrack, which isn’t quite bad.

Final Fantasy IV the Complete Collection, published by Square-Enix (DS). This is supposed to be the definitive FFIV. It’s about $33 to purchase all of the After Years by itself on the Wii, so this is pretty good deal. It’s hard to go wrong with FFIV, really. Be prepared; this game utilizes the GBA graphics, not the DS graphics.
Some Advice: None this month. Both titles are pretty cut and dry.
The Future: Lots of Dragon Age clones. Loads, really. It’s a pretty bleak future.
All release dates are subject to change. Games available for download will have varying or staggered release dates. The views of this column do not reflect the views of RPG Land.
