Shop Watch March 2012

March has a couple of great titles due out.

Literally, there are a couple of great titles and one to be determined.

Titles shipping the week of March 4

Mass Effect 3, published by EA Games (360, PC, PS3).  Another round of Shepard doing the impossible.  My secret regret is the lack of Mass Effect 2 in my gaming life.  This causes Mass Effect 3 to look down upon me, furthering my inexplicable shame.  EA Games will snub me for a different reason: I haven’t given them cash for this game yet.

Titles shipping the week of March 11

Tales of Graces f, published by Namco Bandai (PS3).  Last month saw a re-release of Abyss on the 3Ds and this week sees the Wii remake on the PS3.  Namco-Bandai is looking at this title to see if it’s viable to bring over more Tales games.  I pre-ordered mine; the suggestion is to do the same if you are interested.  This title should make a lot of series fans happy.

Titles shipping the week of March 25

Heroes of Ruin, published by Square-Enix (3DS).  A 4-player dungeon crawler in the vein of every other dungeon crawler out there, Heroes of Ruin brings 3D to the mix.  Which means it will be an okay game maybe.

Some Advice: Tales.  I want to see more of these titles in the US.

The Future: Witcher 2 on consoles ( very fun game from what I’ve played), The Last Story, Xenoblade, and Dragon’s Dogma.  Seems like NA is getting a lot of titles.

All release dates are subject to change.  Games available for download will have varying or staggered release dates. The views of this column do not reflect the views of RPG Land.  This column brought to you by another computer than my own.  It’s like… adultery with electronics.
