Ys Celceta trailer, brief hands-on impression

The demo for Ys Celceta: Sea of Trees did indeed take place in a sea of tress. Deep in a forest, I controlled three characters. AI would run the show with two of them while I could switch which one I handled at will. The combat moved very quickly without any slowdown, even when there were several enemies on the screen. The visuals looked clean and bright, and the music was exactly what an Ys fan would be asking for: fast and intense. This is a remake of Ys IV, which I’ve unfortunately never played, so I can’t make many comparisons.

There’s not a whole lot to say other than restate that this is a solid action RPG for PlayStation Vita. It looks good, sounds good, and most importantly, it plays like an action RPG fan’s dream.
