There’s one deal occurring. And the beginnings of advice. You know what season it is.
And if you’ve read this column for over a year, you know what my advice is: Order your shit online. Stop this nonsense of being elbow-to-elbow with the creme-de-la-creme of crazy-ass shoppers and jackasses with a hyphen fetish. Take a few hours to find out who you’re shopping for and what you’re willing to spend, and then hit up the online stores. Games aren’t out yet? Pre-order them and have the items shipped to the house. Don’t want to ship stuff or it’s too expensive at the moment? Don’t buy it.
Still want it? Then it’s time to go out to the stores – using a store locationerizer online so you know who actually has the item – and put that shit on layaway. This way, when it’s time to go to the store you’re heading to one counter, paying for/picking up your gift, and leaving. No stress, no hassles, no fighting the mad throngs of holiday shoppers who appear every year even if everyone in the world is broke and apocalyptic gangs roam the streets raping and pillaging. Seriously, the world could have an acidic atmosphere and there would still be holiday shoppers.
So yeah, there’s my usual advice. Next week? I’ll make something up.
Our sole deal this week comes from K-Mart. A $15 coupon is offered when customers purchase Borderlands 2.
That’s it for this week. Happy Hunting.
Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Deals may stop at any time. Prices in each store may differ depending on location. You can try different stores to mitigate price differences, and always ask if a store has the item before leaving the store. You might be able to get a raincheck. Many deals are both in-store and online. This column brought to you by waiting on Vita supplies. Owning a Vita and playing one are two heavily different things, apparently.
