RPG Deals 11/4 – 11/10

By Russ | November 4, 2012 at 1:56 pm

This week features more convenient gift cards.

Toys R Us is offering a $10 gift card with the purchase of any $60 game, and a $40 gift card with the purchase of two $60 games.  More than likely the gift cards will be unavailable to use right away.  Rumor has it TRU’s Friday and Saturday doorbuster will be a $20 gift card with purchase of a $60 game.

Not much else going on this week.  Except…

Price Matching.  In order to remain competitive over the holiday season, more than a few stores offer a price match guarantee for product.  Best Buy’s started up today.  BB’s price matching does not include Black Friday deals, but states they will all but price match anything else.  See something you like at Target? As long as Target has the item in stock Best Buy will price match it. Expect other retailers to follow suit.

This may not seem like a deal, but there are two things to consider with this approach.  The first thing is this type of price-matching consolidate shopping.  So long as you can prove the discounted price, Best Buy should price match the item.  Now you can potentially pick up everything in one go.

The second thing to consider is a store card or some type of rewards program.  Picking up all your stuff from one store can potentially max out reward or cash back offers associated with that store or card.  This allows you more personal gain from buying.

That’s all I got for this week.  Happy Hunting.

Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Deals may stop at any time. Prices in each store may differ depending on location. You can try different stores to mitigate price differences, and always ask if a store has the item before leaving the store. You might be able to get a raincheck. Many deals are both in-store and online. This column brought to you by a hole in my roof and a distinct lack of fence.
