RPG Deals 11/10 – 11/16

By Russ | November 10, 2013 at 6:23 pm

New system adopters will probably love this week.

Target is having a ‘buy 2 get 1 free’ sale on all video games, including certain newly released systems. Not that those systems have any RPGs.

Toys R Us has a bevy of deals this week:

Amazon will probably match one or two of these deals.

More Black Friday Deals:

Toys R Us is hosting a ‘buy 1 get 1 40% off on all games’, except select titles for $14.99 and $19.99; which are ‘buy 1 get one for $1’. All deals are through close of business Saturday.

And More Black Friday Advice:

Last week I advised to look at your finances and make the decision if Christmas was a financially viable option for you. If you’ve had time to come to your conclusion and it is no – congratulations. Enjoy a mostly stress-free holiday and fill up at Thanksgiving.

If you still want to do this then my advice for every year stands: Buy your shit online. I’m going to hawk Amazon here for a moment since they have a free Prime trial going on most of the time and tend to match the deals of places like Best Buy and Wal-Mart. A free trial of Prime gets you free two-day shipping and reduced prices on other shipping. Just remember to prevent Prime from being charged to your card if you don’t want it; since the service is $80 a year and we’re trying to save money.

For other places, choose the cheapest shipping or see if free shipping is available. Places like Toys R Us offer free shipping after a certain limit has been hit. Do it all at once and save some cash. Even if the shipment is broken up the shipping costs are typically zero so long as the everything is on one order.

Buying online is also a better alternative to leaving the house and exposes you to less people. People who are probably dicks, possibly have various infections, and the competition to get items. But then , some people thrive on that. Those people are hardcore. Hardcore assholes.

Disclaimer: Deals may not be available in all stores. Deals may stop at any time. Prices in each store may differ depending on location. You can try different stores to mitigate price differences, and always ask if a store has the item before leaving the store. You might be able to get a raincheck. Many deals are both in-store and online. This column brought to you by time warps. I may mix it up but the advice is the same every year.
