Shop Watch July 2023

This month, we close out a long-running video game chapter with some Reverie.

July 7th is the release of The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie. The game is a capstone for the Crossbell duology of Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure; the entire Cold Steel arc; and a branch into the future Kuro no Kiseki games. It’s also my most anticipated title of the year – though it’s going to be hard to top Azure for best game of the year. Reverie will be released on the PS4/5 and Switch.

Physical copies of Mercenaries Rebirth: Call of the Wild Lynx and Sword and Fairy 6: Together Forever will be released in last two weeks of July. Both games are available for download right now.

That’s all for this month. I’m certain many players are still comfortable with their Diablo IV and Final Fantasy XVI, or are waiting for Reverie. Seriously, don’t sleep on the Trails games, folks.
